Local race car driver Joey Gase, lost his mother when he was just 18. She died from a brain aneurysm in April 2011. He chose to donate her organs and because of this donation it's estimated 66 people's lives were improved.
Gase's car is sponsored by the Iowa Donor Network, Iowa Lions Eye Bank. He races in memory of his mom and others who have donated their organs. Gase brought his personal story to share with UnityPoint Health -- St. Luke's Hospital staff and the community. This is from his presentation at the hospital.
